CR-King website says of their product:
- Plug and Play
- USB 2.0 interface
- 4 color-coded drum pads
- 2 cymbal pads
- 1 bass kick pedal
- 2 wooden drumsticks
- Compatible with: Windows XP/ Vista and Mac OS
I saw this product in one of their branches in Commonwealth, QC. I must admit, except for the CD-R king tag, the drum kit is not bad aesthetically. I was almost tempted to score one for my daughter and for myself but knowing its a new product and knowing that CD-R King products rarely exceed the 3 month mark, I decided to scan the web for reviews on this product, of course from those who have already tried.
It is hard to find a review on this new product from CD-R King. But good enough, I found one in the most likely of places - Philmusic.com. Here is what the newbie Philmusic netizen "Grail" have to say about it:
PROS
1) it can be used as stand alone drums (i found several softwares on youtube "how to use rockband on pc")
2) pretty nifty addition to your acoustic kits (mala David Silveria ang dating)
3) cheap sya considering may kasamay alluminum stands na nagamit ko pang incorporate sa kit ko
4) gamit ko sya kapag trip kong pumalo tuwing gabi (earphone/headset mode)
CONS
1) kailangang ingatan.. since made in china sya (will update this kapag tumagal sa amin ng anak ko)
2) "LATENCY" tried several softwares.. parang nahuhuli pa rin ung tunog (PM me if you found a better software
3) meron syang dalawang cymbals pero di mo malaman kung saan mo isasalpak (may nakita rin akong video how to convert RB2 to RB3) hintay ko lang matapos warranty
4) puro basic beats tsaka slow rudiments lang magagawa mo.. not sure if its software based or hardware na rin.. still looking for better software.
- Just the right review I need to decide against buying it. Latency- that is a real problem to me. I don't really care if it's rudimentary but latency really turns me off.
Thanks Grail of Philmusic for trying the product ahead of us.
